Math has a reputation of being one of the most resented subjects in school for students of all ages. Even though math is something that we all use one way or another every day of our lives, some people just totally detest it. The reason math is hated so is probably because it has a tendency to be difficult for many people. Some people find calculus hard and some people find division incomprehensible. No matter which level of difficulty you find math, with the right teacher you can learn beyond your wildest dreams.
The right teacher loves to teach. He or she will be teachers because they want to be teachers, not just settling until something better comes their way. The second aspect you should hope for in a math teacher is intelligence. If the teacher does not sound like he or she fully understands the lesson they are trying to teach. There are many different types of math to be taught. A teacher that has extensive knowledge in the type of math they are teaching, they will make more sense to the students when they are learning something new. Most importantly, a great math teacher is the one that makes math fun.
